Harry the Poisonous Centipede An Avon Camelot Book by Lynne Reid Banks

Why Buy A Harry the Poisonous Centipede An Avon Camelot Book by Lynne Reid Banks?

Its a Hoo-Min! crackled George.
Walking on its hairy biter feet!
But now it was Harry who felt brave.
Come on! Letss peep at it.

Harry is a poisonous centipede but hes not very brave.Still, he is the star of this seriously squirmy story. Harry likes to eat things that wriggle and crackle, and things that are juicy and munchy! But there are some things that a centipede must never try to eat — dangerous things like flying swoopers, belly wrigglers, mid the most dangerous of all … Hoo-Mins!

Harrys mother makes him promise never to go up the Up-Pipe to the world of Hoo-Mins, but Harrys best friend, George, has other ideas! And as every young Hoo-Min knows, when your best friend wants to do something that sounds exciting, its very hard to say no. So George and Harry poke their feelers out and smell the air….and thats when their adventures begin.

Lynne Reid Bankss storytelling sparkles in this tale of her new centipede hero and his creepy-crawly world. Fizzing with fun, it will be a delightfully squirmy experience for all young readers.

Centi
This is a very good book. I recomend it to anyone that doesen’t know how to speak centipedish. I think that all hoo-min kind should read it. (you’d know what I mean if you have read the book!)

A Centipede’s Adventures
Meet Harry, he’s young, charming, has many legs and he’s poisonous. He lives with his mother, Belinda and best friend George, in tunnels under the ground. Like many young centipedes his age, he doesn’t always listen to his mother and heed her warnings to stay away from the “no-top” world, where humans live and danger lurks around every corner. And because of this, we are treated to Harry and George’s many adventures, as they leave their safe home underground, to go up above and experience the forbidden “no-top” world. Lynn Reid Banks has written a very creative and imaginative story, about the world, from a centipede’s point of view. Her writing is witty and down to earth, full of funny dialogue and great, fast paced scenes. Your kids will be turning pages to the end, to find out what happens when Harry and George, finally come face to face with the dreaded human. The perfect book for youngsters aged 8-10, Harry the Poisonous Centipede is a winner.

Buggy
There’s not much substance to this story of Harry (actually, Hxzltl, in Centipede), a many-legged creature who lives down-under (ground, that is), beyond the world of the HOO-MINS. Unless, of course, you are an eight to 10-year-old reader, who likes animals of every kind, especially buggy ones, and adores characters who like you rebel against their parents’ every instruction.

In that case, Harry is made to order, and you’ll enjoy him so much you will read this book two or three times at least.

Perfect for second, third or fourth grade readers who prefer chapter books with illustrations, this 153-page story of an insect mischief-maker will delight kids who like to read down-under (blankets, after lights-out). Alyssa A. Lappen

The Singing Sword The Camulod Chronicles Book 2 by Jack Whyte – Save 32% Today!

The Singing Sword The Camulod Chronicles Book 2 by Jack Whyte

Why Buy A The Singing Sword The Camulod Chronicles Book 2 by Jack Whyte?
We know the legends: Arthur brought justice to a land that had known only cruelty and force; his father, Uther, carved a kingdom out of the chaos of the fallen Roman Empire; the sword Excalibur, drawn from stone by Englands greatest king.

But legends do not tell the whole tale. Legends do not tell of the despairing Roman soldiers, abandoned by their empire, faced with the choice of fleeing back to Rome, or struggling to create a last stronghold against the barbarian onslaughts from the north and east. Legends do not tell of Arthurs great-grandfather, Publius Varrus, the warrior who marked the boundaries of a reborn empire with his own shed blood; they do not tell of Publiuss wife, Luceiia, British-born and Roman-raised, whose fierce beauty burned pale next to her passion for law and honor.

With The Camulod Chronicles, Jack Whyte tells us what legend has forgotten: the history of blood and violence, passion and steel, out of which was forged a great sword, and a great nation. The Singing Sword continues the gripping epic begun in The Skystone: As the great night of the Dark Ages falls over Roman Britain, a lone man and woman fight to build a last stronghold of law and learning–a crude hill-fort, which one day, long after their deaths, will become a great city . . . known as Camelot.

The Singing Sword Book 2
The book arrived shorly after we ordered it in very good condition. A pleasure doing business with you.Thank you.

Excellent Book
I’m a person who loves books about King Arthur and that period of time. This is an excellent book in my mind the thing that might give some people a problem is the sometimes racy scences. I read my first book by Jack Whyte called Knights of the Black and White and fell in love with that one and now I’ve fell in love with this series.

Where To Buy The Wolf and the Crown by A A Attanasio At The Lowest Price?

The Wolf and the Crown by A A Attanasio

Why Buy A The Wolf and the Crown by A A Attanasio?
A.A. Attanasio presents a flamboyant recounting of the myths of Camelot in The Wolf and the Crown, which continues the story of The Dragon and the Unicorn and The Eagle and the Sword. This particular Camelot features a demonic Merlin, Hollow Hills full of tiny faeries in nightgowns of fog and sticky halos, and a callow High King whose devout prayers to Mary close each of his viewpoint chapters. Attanasio loves the surface flash of words, and The Wolf and the Crown is as dazzling as a jeweled necklace, with occasional flaws, such as references to Brownian motion or Bunsen blue, that intrude into the concoction of fantasy, mythology, and Arthurian lore. The myths of Camelot, dear to fantasy readers, provide Attanasio with the perfect setting for his intricate lapidary. –Blaise Selby

A detailed account of Arthur’s first year as king.
The Wolf And The Crown is a beautiful weaving of the classic story of Arthur, except now the tale has an original factor to it. Attanasio is a very talented author; he combines legend with his own mythology. I loved it because Attanasio used characters from several beliefs; he didn’t just focus on Christianity. You may believe this weird, but I think that his stories compare with The Wild Road, mostly because King’s and Attanasio’s details are similar. Such as: They both describe the weather, surroundings, features of an animal or person, and attitudes very thouroughly. I reccomend this book to everyone in the universe!!!

I love it so much!
I am a fan of the Kennedys and I love this book! It is just pictures…pictures…pictures! It is so wonderful! I had to wait 6 long days for it to come to my house. But it was worth it! I love all of the photographs of Caroline as a 2 year old at the beach playing with her parents. I also like the ones of John at the beach with his mother.
This book is wonderful. And I love it. If you buy it, it is worth the money! I paid 12 dollars for it! Mark Shaw did a good job!!!

FAMILY FRIENDLY
Mark Shaw’s book is a real treat. His loving, poignant photographs show the real love, the real bonds, the real ties within the most famous family. The pictures of little Caroline and John are among my favorites. Caroline and John from all accounts have remained so natural, so wonderfully, refreshingly normal. I loved seeing these two children at play. Pennsylvania Avenue could have been Main Street. To their parents’ credit, they grew up unaffected. This book shows it.

TOUCHING PHOTOGRAPHS
This book has beautiful photographs of the former first family. Congradulations to Mark Shaw for a wonderful job!!!!!! FOR QUESTIONS OR DISCUSSIONS ON JACKIE ONASSIS, PLEASE E-MAIL ME AT MellissaLD@aol.com. HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU!!!!!!!!!!!

S.O.R. LOSER REVIEW
This book S.O.R. Losers by Avi was about a school that is really big on sports and famous for not losing a single game all season. That all changes when some seventh grader non-jocks form a soccer team. Their new team is terrible. Their parents and the school cheer them on and insist that they do better. The crowd’s cheers really helped them do a lot better than they were doing.
I would recommend this book because it shows how much people have confidence within themselves. Why I would also recommend this book is because it was written by Avi, he is a great guy and writes great books.

S.O.R Losers
I bought this for my 11 year old because it was one of 5 books on his required reading list for summer vacation. He actually read it and told me what a great book it was. He recommended it to one of his friends and told him that it was a great book.
